If your answer was yes, than please share your tactics in the comments section. And if your answer was 1 and 3 than lets get our lazy brains start working a little bit.
How to Drive more Traffic using Twitter?
- Start from the first outlook – try to write a wide range of interests in your Bio. This creates a chance that you’ll be found easily in many categories and also shows how wide are your interests.
- Create a custom twitter background – try to put some additional information about your site in the background – such as: Your Blog address, your name, also stick some images which is associated with your blog. You can see my twitter account: Twitter.com/Progrecious
- Get friends on twitter – try to follow about 10 new people each day. This will increase the chance that they will follow you back.
- Start twitting – try to tweet about various topics, never stick to one category or niche and also make sure to place the link from this or that information. Some people get annoyed about the same kinds of tweets. I have noticed that my followers grow on about 25% when I change the tweeting category. example: from make money online to Art, from Art to Seo, from Seo to Architecture, from Architecture to Blogging, etc… If you have nothing to tweet about just say “have a great sunny day” to your followers
- Send messages to your new followers, write something like: “Thank you for following me I have followed you back, what are you working on at the moment?” This is a real psychological message. The follower will be curios to know this person better – he thinks: Who is this? This should be somebody very important (very respective) person! hmm… I’ll check his blog. Notice: this question creates a sense that this person wants to make an offer, some deal or even a partnership.
If you don’t know how to create one, just drop me an e-mail (see the about me page) and I’ll get back to you quite soon.

OPINIONS
Twitter is definitely one of the most valuable assets to bloggers these days. It offers great exposure in more that just one way.
Thanks for the great post!
Twitter is really very helpful for Bloggers. I started using it from couple of weeks and had got a good response..
I’ll try these out. I’m starting to get hooked on Twitter but I’m not getting a whole lot of traffic from it yet
Love your site, I will check back for more info like this.
I’ve never had much success with Twitter.
“Following people and they will follow us back?”
I got a friend who followed 2500 people, she got 500 followers too. I don’t know is that worth it.
The traffic she getting?
Hmm… less than 10 visitors per day.
I don’t think twitter is meant to be a traffic generation tool. It is more of a communication tool with our blog readers and keep them closer. Following people aggressively is also blocked by Twitter (my friend can’t follow anyone now). They hire 2 company to catch spammers too.
