Sad or GOOD New Technorati?

When browsing through technorati have noticed those recently created changes which effected so many of the bloggers out there. WHY?

Would it effect my current Technorati status?

Even though it is still a beta version it seems they’ve made big changes:

SAD

1. The technorati faves option disappeared.

2. Lots of bloggers simply lost their ranks which where reduced to 1, haven’t found any reason for that?

GOOD

1. don’t really remember whether blog links pointing to your site where do follow or not, but NOW THEY ARE. – this might be a good change!

This is how my chart looks like: dofollow is underlined.

2. You can now join the channels like: blogging finance, guru, etc…

NON

You can now leave some comments straight on technorati. is it good? or sad? as the bloggers will not bother to come to your blog to comment.

Statistics

Stats have shown that the overall technorati usage has grown on  a very small percentage we should also consider the fact that it is really very authoritative directory.

Also consider that only drupal websites using the update function are included here.

Conclusion

In general aspect the whole interaction process of bloggers has disappeared I assume this is not a very good change as it transforms from socially loaded blog directory to something more official rather than functional.

The overall way of performance have changed totally, even though some changes might be considered as good, the main key factors of determining the bloggers success on technorati has changed (only in beta yet) .
